Police name victim of hit-and-run
A man who was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Somerset at the weekend has been named as Mark Anthony Close.

The 32-year-old was walking along Barton Road in Berrow with two other men in the early hours of Saturday when he was struck by a car.

The vehicle, thought to be a light blue Ford Sierra, failed to stop. Mr Close was declared dead at the scene.

Police have asked local garages to be on the lookout for any damaged vehicles which may be brought in.
