Blaze victim treated in hospital

One person has been taken to hospital with burns following a house fire in Wootton Bassett Road in Swindon.

Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the mid-terraced property at 0700 BST on Thursday to deal with a fire in the first floor attic space.

Neighbouring properties were unaffected by the incident but the road at the bottom of Kings-hill and the Mannington roundabout was blocked for a time.

A full investigation is under way into the cause of the blaze.
