Rally champion Colin McRae, 39, and his son Johnny died in a helicopter crash on 15 September. Their funeral was held last week. A remembrance service was held on Sunday.
Mr McRae's wife Alison and nine-year-old daughter Hollie arrive at the Celebration of Life service for the motor sport star and his five-year-old son.
Mr McRae's brother Stuart was also among those who attended the service at St Nicholas Church in their home town of Lanark.
The racing legend's parents, Jim and Margaret, were at the church for the service, which former F1 driver Damon Hill and Mr McRae's co-driver Nicky Grist also attended.
Police estimated as many as 15,000 people gathered in the street outside the church. The service was relayed to them via large screens on the high street.
The crowd fell silent just before 1600 BST as a lone piper played Flower Of Scotland. They watched as Mr McRae's wife and parents were piped into the church.
Mr McRae was regarded as a hero in his hometown. The service included personal tributes from friends and colleagues, poetry, music and a highlights film.
