Keane back for play-offs
Roy Keane: "It's a big boost to have Roy back"
Manchester United's Roy Keane is selected in the preliminary Republic of Ireland squad to face Turkey in their European Championship play-off next month.
Ireland boss Mick McCarthy said: "It's a big boost to have Roy back in the side. Let's hope there are no more injury worries."
Keane has missed Ireland's last three qualification games against Croatia, Malta and Macedonia.
McCarthy has selected 30 players with a view to cutting the squad down to just 22 for the home and away legs of the tie.
"All the players will be in action over the weekend, and I want to see how they perform before I cut the travelling squad down," he said.
Ireland play Turkey at Lansdowne Road on 13 November, followed by the away leg in Boursa four days later.
All 33,000 tickets for the home leg have already been sold.
