Three die in Brazil music crush
Fans of the Mexican band RBD queue near a shopping centre in Sao Paulo
At least 5,000 fans had queued up to see their idols, officials said.
Three people have died in Brazil when mostly teenage fans of a Mexican pop group were crushed trying to get autographs, officials have said.

About 30 others were hurt as a security barrier collapsed outside a shopping centre in the city of Sao Paulo.

The incident happened after fans of the RBD group surged towards a van, believing the musicians were inside.

The group has become a big hit in Brazil and other South American nations after starring in a soap opera.

At least 5,000 fans had gathered outside the shopping centre for a scheduled autograph session by the RBD on Saturday morning, officials said.

However, organisers had limited the event to only about 100 autograph opportunities, reports in Brazilian media said.

A woman and two teenage girls were killed in the crush, a spokesman for Sao Paulo state's public safety secretariat was quoted as saying by the Associated Press news agency.

At least two people were reportedly in serious condition.
