A restaurant chain has denied reports it plans to take legal action against a nearby "look alike" restaurant.
The Little Chef sits on the A30 near Honiton, Devon - about six miles (10km) from the Newcott Chef on the A303.
Both are painted red and white and have a large white chef roadside logo, which the Little Chef chain has claimed is "confusing" its customers.
But Little Chef said that its remarks about the restaurants had been taken out of context.
"I am not going to make changes"
Chief executive Ian Pegler said in a statement: "While we are not denying that comments have been made, these have unfortunately been taken out of context and we apologise for any confusion.
"Although the branding of both Little Chef and Newcott Chef are undeniably similar, and customers have mistaken Mr Lavey's restaurant as being part of the Little Chef chain, we have no intention of formally challenging him to change anything."
"At the end of the day, we are both here to serve customers rather than argue over a logo, so we hope this issue can now be laid to rest."
Newcott Chef owner Derek Lavey said it was "a fuss about nothing".
He told BBC News there had been no contact with the Little Chef since he went to court in 1993 when the company tried and failed to make him change his logo.
'No problem'
"They haven't written and they haven't phoned since then," he said.
"I've been here for 40 years and that's years before the Little Chef opened.
"It used to be a Texaco garage and cafe."
Mr Davey denied customers were confused by the two restaurants and is adamant he will not be making any changes.
"There isn't a problem as far as I can see, so live and let live I say," he added.
