Murder police seek two cars

Police investigating the murder of a west Wales woman whose body was found in a car in Oxfordshire have issued details of two vehicles they want to trace.

The woman, who has not been named officially but who is believed to be Tracey Gossip, was found dead in a burned-out car near Woodstock in Oxfordshire on 18 November.

A 41-year-old man has been remanded in custody accused of her murder.

It is believed that the woman's body was driven nearly 160 miles from Cellan near Lampeter in Ceredigion.

Dyfed-Powys Police say the cars they are looking for were seen near the village on Monday 17 November, and they have issued a detailed description of them

  • A silver Saab 900 turbo registration number B423 GMW
  • A silver/grey Peugeot 405 registration number F545 PYP.

    Andrew Smith, from Market Place, Woodstock, was remanded by magistrates in Oxford last Friday.

    A post-mortem examination has been held, but no cause of death has so far been revealed.

    Mr Smith, who has not yet entered a plea, is due to appear at Oxford Crown Court on 28 November.
