The Experience Corps and Step into Sport

Experience Corps encourages people aged 50 and over to share their time and skills with the wider community.

It works alongside the Department for Culture Media and Sport's (DCMS) Step into Sport initiative to encourage the 50 pluses to sign up with voluntary sports clubs.

British Sports Trust

The BST organises the Sports Leader Awards, which help volunteers become leaders in their local communities through sporting activity. British Sports Trust

Millennium Volunteers

This is a Government-funded initiative for young people. Anyone between 16 and 24 can be a Millennium Volunteer.

The scheme encourages people to get involved with things like sports coaching to gain valuable experience. Millennium Volunteers

Volunteer to Win

Up to 70,000 volunteers will be needed to help deliver the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in 2012.
