Fans' reaction to Henry's loyalty

Thierry Henry in action for Arsenal
The 606 message boards have been deluged with fans reacting to Thierry Henry's decision to sign a new contract at Arsenal.

Henry, 28, had one year left on his existing deal and had been strongly tipped to move to Barcelona.

But the France international decided to stay put and sign a four-year contract, citing the club's fans as one of the reasons he wanted to stay.

Arsenal fans, and supporters from other clubs, have expressed their delight that one of the best players the Premiership has ever seen will continue to ply his trade in England.

I'm really, really happy that Henry is staying, especially as he stated that Arsenal is the club he loves. Bring on next season, we'll push Chelsea all the way, we'll take the Champions League by storm next year, bring it all on!
Dean, Arsenal fan

Can you imagine the Premiership without Henry? It would be like watching the World Cup without Brazil. He's by far the greatest player in our league and I'm just happy he's decided to stay.
YQ, Middlesbrough fan

Keeping Henry is the best news ever. It means we will be a stronger force next season, and we can get to the Champions League final again and hopefully win it.
DM, Arsenal fan

I'm very happy with the news. The Premiership would have missed a player like Henry. Simply because there is no other player quite like him.
Homer, Leicester fan

Keeping Henry is the best signing Arsenal have EVER made. We can now look forward to next season with the best player to grace the Premiership.
Aristeia, Arsenal fan

He's among the best players in the world and I really admire his attitude and work ethic.. We need players like him in the Premiership, even if he is putting the ball past our keeper!
Matt, Liverpool fan

I always expected Henry to stay. We now need to rebuild and let this be the start to a special era. Wenger needs to buy this summer and if he does, I've no doubt the Champions League and the Premiership trophies are coming back to where they belong
TC, Arsenal fan

Great news! If we win against Watford on Sunday we can "enjoy" Henry sticking in another 4 past us I'm so overjoyed!
ICB, Leeds fan

Henry is a living legend, the pain of losing the CL all gone in an in instant - that's the effect this man has! He is a true hero and proper role model for all the kids.

I am a Liverpool fan but I'd like to say this is awesome for the Premiership and especially for Arsenal.
OS, Liverpool fan

I am ecstatic that Thierry is staying. I have been grieving since Wednesday and this is just the pick me up we all needed. Now let's go an buy Torres!
Gelding, Arsenal fan

Even as a Man Utd fan I'd like to say this is great news. We need more players like Henry in the Premiership who have the ability, the flair, and the sportsmanship to be a great role model.
