Omotoyossi has sealed a move to Al Nasr in Saudi Arabia
|
Benin striker Razak Omotoyossi has joined Al Nasr in Saudi Arabia from Helsingborg, after just one year at the Swedish club.
The Saudis have reportedly paid US$2.5m for the 22-year-old striker, who scored 27 goals in 49 matches for Helsingborg.
"We definitely wanted to keep Razak here but we are aware of his ambition so it's best to let him go," said Helsingborg's sporting director Jesper Jansson on the club's website.
He added that the striker's departure should not leave a vacuum at the club as it has been apparent for a long time that Omotoyossi wanted to leave.
Meanwhile South Africa striker Nathan Paulse has signed a three and a half year deal with another Swedish club Hammarby from Ajax Cape Town.
Details of the contract was not made public but Paulse, 26, said he was relieved that the deal has finally been done: "I can now concentrate on what I'm good at and that's playing football."
Paulse has played just once for Bafana Bafana.
Lasse Eriksson, Hammarby's head of football is happy to have signed the South African: "He is good in the air and this is a quality that we can use defensively and offensively."
