Oldham 2-0 Leyton Orient

Oldham condemned Leyton Orient to a fifth defeat in a row with a comfortable win at Boundary Park.

The Latics, who experimented with Wales full-back Neal Eardley in a midfield role, went in front after 22 minutes.

Deane Smalley battled down the right flank and his cross was expertly met on the edge of the box by Chris Taylor.

Oldham continued to dictate the pace and had a second on 42 minutes as the O's failed to clear and Mark Allott let fly from the edge of the box.


Oldham: Crossley, Eardley, Hazell, Stam, Lomax, Liddell, Allott, Gregan (Kelly 79), Taylor, Smalley, Wolfenden (Chalmers 74).
