Sam Saunders scored his fifth in five games to help Dagenham warm up for the vital final-day clash with Shrewsbury with victory over Notts County.
The lively winger cut in from the right after 35 minutes to unleash an unstoppable shot past Kevin Pilkington.
Matt Ritchie then ran at the County defence unchallenged before finding the top corner from 25 yards.
The Magpies had opportunities to score, Delroy Facey going close, but Ritchie sealed the win from 18 yards out.
The Daggers play Shrews next Saturday knowing a draw will clinch them a play-off place, but a defeat would see their opponents overtake them into seventh place.
