Currie savours Loughgall success

Loughgall manager Niall Currie

Manager Niall Currie admits Loughgall will have a tough job trying to follow up on a magnificent five-trophy haul.

The club have won the First Division plus four cups - Carnegie League, Bob Radcliffe, Mid-Ulster and Intermediate.

They finished the season with a 1-0 home win over Ballyclare Comrades and received the league trophy afterwards.

"I don't think anything we do next year will match this. Four clubs are coming down from the Premier so we might be fifth favourites," said Currie.

"The boys deserve a lot of credit. This will go down in Loughgall folklore for many years.

"It was my first season managing at this level and I have a lot to learn.

"But as long as I have good guys around me I believe we will continue to progress."
