McDonald helped send the Dens Park side through
|
Dundee survived a Scottish Cup fright as they battled to victory over Highland League Huntly at Christie Park and moved through to the fifth round.
The Dees took the lead on the half hour mark when Kevin McDonald rammed home the rebound after Freddy Daquin's fierce shot was parried.
But Huntly equalised through a Keith Reid header with 13 minutes to go.
The highlanders joy was short-lived though as Eddie Malone struck within four minutes and Daquin added a third.
Alex Rae's side will now meet either Hearts or Motherwell in the next round of the cup with Malone grabbing his first for the club since his move from St Mirren.
