East Fife's title celebrations were put on hold after Albion held them to a scoreless draw at the Bayview Stadium.
John Gemmell threatened for Albion after 35 minutes a fiercely struck free kick that Craig Wight did well to hold.
The Fifers best chance came in the 65th minute when Ryan Blackadder's free-kick clipped the top of the crossbar.
And with four minutes to go Albion could have stolen the points but
Greig McDonald's header from a corner was cleared off the line.
