A second-half double by substitute John Baird helped Montrose seal a deserved victory at Cliftonhill.
Montrose took the lead after 33 minutes when Keith Gibson headed a Gary Wood cross into the top corner.
Albion defender Alan Reid was given a straight red card on 72 minutes for a professional foul on Baird.
Alan Benton then fouled Baird inside the box and the striker scored past David Scott. Baird then grabbed his second on 83 minutes.
