Elgin City's play-off aspirations took a blow as they had to settle for a share of the spoils.

The visitors took the lead after 27 minutes when Craig Campbell latched onto a long ball before slotting the ball past keeper David Scott.

Rovers were back on level terms when David Niven bundled Willie Martin over and John Gemmell scored from the spot.

The visitors controlled the second half, with Mark Smith and Paul Kaczan seeing shots well saved by Scott.
