Ayr's Campbell, Henderson re-sign

Ayr United pair Martyn Campbell and Murray Henderson have committed themselves to the club for next season.

New deals have also been offered to Andy McLaren, Neil McGowan, Lloyd Kinnard and Fraser Stewart, with all expected to re-sign this week.

Mark McGeown, Chris Robertson, Craig Pettigrew, David Lowing, David Dunn, Jerome Vareille and Gareth Wardlaw have all been released.

Meanwhile, striker Paul McLeod will return to Hamilton Accies.

Midfielder Iain Anderson is set to retire from football due to injury and manager Brian Reid and assistant Scott McKenzie are working hard to bring in new players for next season.

Reid told the club website: "There is no doubt we need a fresh injection of players and myself and Scott MacKenzie are working flat out to do so.

"I am looking at players from all levels and certainly wouldn't rule out anyone."
