Baker revealed Town will get a 'six-figure sum' from Rovers

Cheltenham Town chairman Paul Baker is hoping the Robins can set up an away game on their own ground next season by avoiding relegation on Saturday.

A win for the Robins against Doncaster would keep them in League One and pave the way for two games against their new tenants Bristol Rovers next season.

"That's what we hope for, and time will tell if we can do the business," he told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

"Hopefully we should have two full gates for those two fixtures."

He continued: "Cheltenham Town playing 'away' at home would be really interesting. When we play Bristol Rovers away it will be at Whaddon Road and our fans will have to sit in the away stands so that will be a novel experience."

Baker added that everyone at the club is looking forward to Rovers pitching up at Whaddon Road for two seasons.

"We've got a good relationship with them, and we've got a great relationship with their fans and we'll have to look after them.

"I'm absolutely sure that their management and coaching staff and players will be absolutely delighted to be playing on a pitch such as ours."
