Jackett deflated after final game

Kenny Jackett
Jackett wanted a statement of intent from his players

Millwall boss Kenny Jackett was left disappointed with his side's performance at Swindon on Saturday.

The Lions boss told BBC London 94.9: "I didn't think we wanted it enough, we had a goal start and let that slip away to 2-1.

"There were very few plus points to come out of the game, we could have done a lot better, we didn't show enough hunger and desire."

Millwall took the lead through Danny Senda but went down 2-1 to Swindon.

I really wanted to show everybody that we mean business for next year, at the moment it's just words

Kenny Jackett
"We can cite injuries, we can cite a bobbly pitch, we can cite chances that we missed but in the end they're excuses, not reasons and we didn't do enough today to win the game," he added.

"There are not many people in the real world that can guarantee their money six months in advance. All of these players get paid for the foreseeable future and they get paid to do a job.

"I really wanted to show everybody that we mean business for next year, at the moment it's just words."
