Norwich City manager Glenn Roeder insists his side will do Sheffield Wednesday no favours on Sunday.

With the Canaries safe from relegation, they end the season at Hillsborough with the home side one of five teams still battling the drop.

Roeder said: "It's very important to me - I know we're safe but we owe it to ourselves to create a winning culture.

"It's important to the other managers involved in the relegation struggle that we put on a proper performance."

Blackpool, Coventry, Leicester and Southampton are vying for survival along with the Owls, and Roeder is determined not to lose respect from any other club.

"I would hate to think the other managers would look at our performance and say we didn't do our best."

Roeder also revealed that he has a certain amount of regret that the season is coming to an end.

"In the 30 games since I've been here, had the season started then, hypothetically, we would be sixth in the table.

"From that point of view I wish there was another 16 games to go."
