Port Vale boss Lee Sinnott is pleased to be drawn against Championship side Sheffield United in the Carling Cup.

The Valiants will travel to Bramall Lane on 11 August in the first round of the competition.

"We're satisfied with the draw, it's a nice one and it will get the interest of the supporters," Sinnott told BBC Radio Stoke.

"It's a good draw for us. We'll be looking forward to testing ourselves against Championship opposition."

The Blades reached the semi-final of the competition in the 2002/03 season.
