Wrexham spurn Sancho after trial

Sancho was released by Gillingham midway through last season

Former Gillingham defender Brent Sancho's week-long trial at Wrexham has ended without the club offering the player a contract.

The Trinidad international, 31, was released by the Gills last season and spent time on loan at Millwall and Scottish Division Two champions Ross.

Sancho was once a target for Swansea City when they were under former manager Kenny Jackett.

But the latest interest in him from a Welsh club has ended.
