Farrell signs new deal with York

Farrell scored a hat trick in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round

York City striker Craig Farrell has signed a new contract with the Blue Square Premier club.

The 25-year-old has been with the Minstermen for two years after spells with Leeds, Carlisle and Exeter.

Farrell scored 14 goals in 30 appearances last season despite missing part of the season with injury.

City have 13 full-time professional players under contract for next season and are waiting for decisions from four youth-team players.
