I can firmly see Croatia getting second in that group on that form, I expect them to sweep Japan aside with ease.
By Brazil standards it was a below par performance yet comfortable. Bear in mind Croatia are probably one of the better teams in the tournament as well.
I think that's just the begining - the Brazilians have shown that even if they don't play well they can still beat a good team like Croatia.
I thought Croatia were desperately unlucky not to come away with something from that match.
2205: Jols Barber
No nation has yet really come out and sent a message to the rest of the world that they will win it.
If the Croats could shoot as well as Kaka they'd have beaten Brazil by a couple of goals.
2155: Obsessive Ronaldo Disorder
They say the sign of a GREAT team is when they play badly and still win, if that's the case, then Brazil, England and Italy are all GREAT GREAT teams. None of them have been convincing so far, let's hope they are just warming up!
2049: RAFA AND HIS SPANISH ARMADA
Well, if that's the best Brazil can do forget them. Croatia could have levelled many times in this half and Brazil are dead lucky to get out of this with a win.
Who's making all the noise in the stadium? Doesn't sound like a samba.
If Croatia were to equalise, I wouldn't complain. The Croats more than deserve a point from this one.
Brazil? Like an earlier poster pointed out: No one is unbeatable in this tournament. It's going to be a fabulous few weeks...
Good decision.. Time to pull out Ronaldo...get him up for the next game...Robinho will replace.
A particularly lacklustre Brazilian performance, epitomised by Ronaldo's reluctance to participate. I found this quite disappointing, as I was expecting a real fight, if not a goal-fest.
The good news about this World Cup is - no-one looks unbeatable. Argentina, Brazil, Italy, England, France and Holland have all been matched for large parts of their games by so-called lesser teams.
On Ronaldo: You have to say that pushing Adriano up a bit and playing Robinho seems a more dangerous option.
Quality goal yes, but the standard of play is below par. I think Croatia has done well to be only one down.
Brazil scores! I expect to see a pretty open game in the second half with end-to-end action. Croatia will go all out for a goal and Brazil loves such a situation - game on!
I'm not pleased with Ronaldinho asking for the Croation player to get a card.
Anyone else surprised that Klasnic doesn't get the attention he deserves? He's an excellent world-class player.
The only way to beat Brazil is to go straight at them. Croatia are doing just that.
So long as I don't find myself wondering if the grass-cutting pattern in Berlin is better or worse than the ones in Stuttgart and Frankfurt earlier today, I will be a happy man!
The Croats look more nervous than the Brazilians.
There should be a Fifa law that Brazil ALWAYS play in yellow and blue - blue and white doesn't quite look right!
As far as pre-match comments go, Croatia vowed to attack. That will only play in the hands of Brazilians. I just hope Croatians keep their promise.
Let it be a festival of football tonight! Come on Samba boys, show some magic!
1920: Cold War Kid
I'm going to stick my neck out and say Croatia will win this. There is just so much pressure on Brazil and I think they'll take a game to get up and running.
Everybody it seems, in one way or another is waiting for Brazil. The world cup has not really started until the samba beat is heard.
Having said that, I think anything other than a completely dominant display will put pressure on Brazil as they are such overwhelming favourites this time. I think Croatia will score, but leak goals. My prediction: Brazil 4-1 Croatia.
