Faldo Mini Series

If you've heard of Nick Faldo then you might also know about the Faldo Series.

Events for under 12s can be part of the Mini Faldo Series

But up until now it's been for golfers in their teenage years, now there's a chance for golfers even younger in age.

The Faldo Mini Series, in association with the Golf Foundation, aims to help organise golf competitions on pitch and putt courses for children aged under 12.

And there is the added incentive that winners of each competition will go into the draw to meet the man himself.

All events for under 12s, which meet the Faldo Mini Series criteria, can be part of this initiative.

Organisers holding events before 11th September 2006 are invited to register free of charge with the Golf Foundation and their event winners will be eligible to go into the prize draw.

From this draw, 18 boys and 18 girls will be selected to meet Nick Faldo at The Celtic Manor Resort in Wales on October 5, during the Faldo Series final.

Any golf club in your local area can now offer its younger members a chance to draw inspiration from Europe's most successful golfer.
