Robert Kubica made an impressive start to his Formula One career last year but his momentum stalled a little in 2007.

A podium in only his third race, and other impressive drives in the rest of 2006, highlighted a promising talent.

But his team-mate Nick Heidfeld - who is quick and consistent, but not out of the very top drawer - generally had the upper hand in the first half of 2007.

Kubica got back on terms later on, but he will have to up his game before he can be considered a genuine star.
