Kildare v Cavan

Problems are piling up for Cavan ahead of Saturday week's All-Ireland qualifier against Kildare at Newbridge.

Key attacker Seanie Johnston (ankle) and Ronan Flanagan (hamstring) are fitness doubts while young midfielder Michael McDonald has quit the squad.

McDonald was substituted during the first half of Cavan's Ulster SFC defeat by Armagh and he has not returned to county training.

Declan Gaffney and John Cunningham have also left the Breffni County squad.

Gaffney and Cunningham, who did not feature in Cavan's two Championship games to date, are said to have been unhappy with their fitness levels.
