The Inside Sport team, including Gabby Logan (right), found temperatures well below freezing during filming for their Beijing Olympics special, which will air on BBC1 on 20 February
The 40-minute programme, to be televised at 2250 GMT and repeated at 1310 on Saturday 23 February on BBC1, features four-time Olympic rowing gold medallist Sir Matthew Pinsent
And Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, who won 11 Paralympic golds, four silvers and one bronze during her career, was examining the facilities for disabled people in Beijing
With the Games less than six months away, the team visited numerous Olympic venues in Beijing, including the newly opened aquatics centre, the 'Water Cube'
Pinsent also checked out the velodrome, which will seat 6,000 spectators at the Games. The design of the roof is based on the spoked front wheel of a racing bike
With filming equipment for that perfect shot at a premium, the cameramen made full use of the resources around them as Pinsent explored a Beijing market
The team also spent time with a Beijing amateur athletics club to investigate whether pollution would be a factor when the Games begin in August
And, in a country that has been criticised for its attitude towards disabled people, what steps are the authorities taking to make sure they host a successful Paralympic Games?
It wasn't all work, work, work for the team though and Gabby took time out to visit one of the country's must-see attractions - the Great Wall
