Britain's Judo players have been told they must impress at next month's European Championships if they are to secure a place at the 2008 Olympics.
The championships, in Libson from 11-13 April, mark the end of a year-long qualification campaign for Beijing.
A 12-strong team has been named, with eight of those former European medallists and four former champions.
But British Judo Association director Margaret Hicks said: "They need strong displays to hold onto their positions."
A medal-winning performance would also secure an additional place for the team in Beijing.
