Mitton named in Paralympics squad

Cathy Mitton has competed in two previous Paralympics

York Paralympic table tennis player, Cathy Mitton, has been named in the Great Britain squad for the 2008 games in Beijing.

The 51-year-old won individual bronze in Sydney in 2000 and took a team bronze in Athens four years later.

Team manager, Steve Ward, says: "The players will need to perform at the highest level to challenge the Chinese in their backyard."

The table tennis events take place from 7 to 16 September.
