Bulloch: My double joy
Gordon Bulloch
Gordon Bulloch was delighted with his two tries
Hooker Gordon Bulloch and BBC Sport Online columnist was a two-try hero as Scotland defeated Wales 27-22 in Cardiff and says that it gives his side greater heart for next season's World Cup.

We didn't play as well as we can in beating Wales.

But that is two away victories we have had this season and the only time a Scotland side has done that before is when we have won Grand Slams.

While it was a pretty scrappy game, we took our chances when in their 22.

We dominated the line-outs and that effectively put paid to Wales' chances.

Scotland showed greater patience in driving
When you don't win the ball there, you have to win possession in the scrums or open play, which is so much harder.

Although we were 9-0 down, we didn't panic and just worked our way back into the game.

Indeed, both my tries came from push-overs and having patience in our driving is something we have been practising.

It is always pleasing when you work on something in training and it pays off in the actual match.

We have been a bit gung-ho in the rucks, but having a bit more patience allows our backs to get cleaner ball.

Cutting out the handling errors is something we have to continue to work on.

Against England and France, we gave away points because of basic defensive errors.

But the defence was good against Wales and, if we can continue to improve that side of things, there will be a lot more victories in the future.

Gordon Bulloch and Mattie Stewart celebrate
Scotland can go have greater heart
I thought I let myself down against France, so I was delighted to double my try-scoring count for Scotland.

After having a weekend off, I felt a greater spring in my step coming into the game.

The victory over Wales allows us to go into our remaining club matches in greater heart.

It also means we can look forward with more confidence to the match at Murrayfield in June against Barbarians and the build up to the World Cup next season.

Watching the A team on Friday night, there are a few promising players coming through.

They lost their match, but they put in a good performance and that, along with our victory in Cardiff, is a good sign for the future of Scottish rugby.
