RBAI beat holders Methody 11-7 in the semi-final of the Northern Bank Schools' Cup at Ravenhill on Thursday.
Patrick Irwin kicked two penalties to give Inst a 6-0 lead but Sean Conway replied with a try which David Elliott converted to put Methody 7-6 ahead.
After half-time Mark McDowell touched down for an unconverted try to ensure RBAI's passage into the decider.
They will face Wallace High School, who beat Portora Royal on Tuesday, in the final at Ravenhill on Monday 19 March.
