Harlequins scrum-half Steve So'oialo has become the 14th player to sign a new deal with the club this year.

The 30-year-old Samoa international has signed a two-year deal to keep him at Quins until at least 2010.

Director of rugby Dean Richards said: "It is great to see so many of the players wanting to be a part of Quins over the next few years.

"Steve has been an important part of this team and I am delighted that he wants to remain at Harlequins."

So'oialo joined Quins from Wigan-based club Orrell in 2004. He featured for his national side in the 1999 and 2003 World Cups.

He has also represented the Pacific Islanders team, playing Australia, New Zealand and South Africa in 2004.
