Jones & Rees stick with Dragons

Assistant coaches Leigh Jones and Dai Rees have signed two-year extensions to their Dragons contracts.

They follow head coach Paul Turner, who agreed a similar extension in January.

The back-room team's new deals should take them through to the £40m redevelopment of Newport's Rodney Parade, to be completed by 2010.

"Developing current players and new signings is part of the bigger picture to produce a successful team to take us to the new stadium in 2010," said Rees.

Jones added: "Next year will be my sixth season with the Dragons, after a year with Newport, and it's a place I'm happy to be part of.

"As a coaching team we put in a lot of hard work and will continue to do so for the region."
