Sale Sharks have completed the signing of Leicester Tigers back-row forward Luke Abraham on a two-year contract.

The 24-year-old played a key role for the Tigers as they won the Guinness Premiership and EDF Energy Cup double last season.

Sale director of rugby Philippe Saint Andre said: "He is a very good, young English player.

"I have been impressed when he has played against us. I am sure he will be a very good addition to my squad."

Abraham added: "I am looking forward to a new challenge at a new club.

"I know that Sale Sharks is a very ambitious club. I felt the time was right to move."
