Maccarinelli celebrates his landmark win over Wayne Braithwaite

BBC Wales Sports Personality of the Year 2007 contender Enzo Maccarinelli has established himself as one of the most dangerous cruiserweight boxers in the world over the past 12 months.
The 27-year-old from Swansea is currently the WBO cruiserweight champion, and after his destruction of all before him in 2007 he is being widely tipped to dominate the division in years to come.
The Welshman fought three times this year starting with a first-round destruction of Bobby Gunn at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
A unanimous points victory over Wayne Braithwaite in Cardiff followed soon after, and more recently he recorded a fourth-round knockout of Mohamed Azzaoui on the undercard of Joe Calzaghe v Mikkel Kessler at the Millennium Stadium.
The big-punching west Walian joined the 'Team Calzaghe' gym last year and working with new trainer Enzo has had immediate effects.

He already has 28 careers fights, winning 21 by knockout and losing just once, to Lee Swaby eight years ago.
His biggest challenges await him and a potential match-up with WBA and WBC cruiserweight champion David Haye would be the fight most British boxing fans would want to see.
But Haye has said he is likely to step up to heavyweight and that is where his long-term future may rest.
For now though Maccarinelli is happy at cruiserweight where he looks set to continue to take the boxing world by storm.
