Parry and Bellamy back for Wales

Paul Parry

Strikers Paul Parry and Craig Bellamy have returned to a 35-man Wales squad for friendlies in Iceland (28 May) and the Netherlands (1 June).

Cardiff's FA Cup finalist Parry, 27, ruled himself out of Wales duty 18 months ago for personal reasons.

Captain Bellamy has been out since 2 February with an abdominal injury.

Manager John Toshack has found no place for Derby's transfer-listed striker Rob Earnshaw, despite picking seven uncapped players in his large squad.

They are Darcy Blake, Joe Jacobson, Jack Collison, Aaron Ramsey, Brian Stock and teenage strikers Ched Evans and Sam Vokes.

Steve Evans and Mark Jones are also in, despite their relegation from League Two with Wrexham this season.

Long-term casualties Danny Gabbidon, James Collins and Gareth Bale remain sidelined.

West Ham's Bellamy, who has played only 67 minutes in the last seven months, will win his 50th cap when he next pulls on a Wales jersey.

Parry spoke of his desire to return to the international fold earlier this week.

"I didn't say I'd finished playing for Wales," he said. "I just said I wanted a break away from it.

"Once I've sorted my problems out I'll come back. My aim is to be back for the World Cup qualification games at the start of next season."

Wales face Iceland at the Laugardalsvollur Stadium, Reykjavik, before taking on the Netherlands at the Feyenoord Stadium, Rotterdam.

Toshack's team have one further friendly - at home to Georgia on 20 August - before their World Cup qualifying campaign starts at home to Azerbaijan on 6 September.

Wales squad: Wayne Hennessey (Wolves), Boaz Myhill (Hull City), Lewis Price (Derby County), Darcy Blake (Cardiff City), Neal Eardley (Oldham Athletic), Steve Evans (Wrexham), Chris Gunter (Tottenham Hotspur), Joe Jacobson (Bristol Rovers), Craig Morgan (Peterborough United), Lewin Nyatanga (Derby County), Sam Ricketts (Hull City), Ashley Williams (Stockport County), Jack Collison (West Ham), Andrew Crofts (Gillingham), Arron Davies (Nottingham Forest), Simon Davies (Fulham), David Edwards (Wolves), Carl Fletcher (Crystal Palace), Mark Jones (Wrexham), Owain Tudur Jones (Swansea City), Jason Koumas (Wigan Athletic), Joe Ledley, Paul Parry, Aaron Ramsey (all Cardiff City), Carl Robinson (Toronto), Brian Stock (Doncaster Rovers), David Vaughan (Real Sociedad), Craig Bellamy (West Ham), David Cotterill (Wigan Athletic), Craig Davies (Oldham Athletic), Jermaine Easter (Plymouth Argyle), Freddy Eastwood (Wolves), Ched Evans (Manchester City), Daniel Nardiello (QPR), Sam Vokes (AFC Bournemouth).
