Welsh Non-League news

LOOSEMORE'S LEAGUE CUP

Llanelli 2-0 Rhyl: The Reds are in the hunt for a treble after goals from Andrew Mumford and Chris Holloway gave them victory against Rhyl at Newtown. The win brought Llanelli their first league and cup double and they face Bangor City in the Welsh Cup Final on Sunday.

BLUE SQUARE CONFERENCE SOUTH

Newport County 1-2 Fisher Athletic: A 90th-minute goal from Andy Gurney was not enough for Newport County as they fell short in their bid to reach play-offs that could have seen them facing Wrexham next season.

Andre McCollin followed his 30th-minute penalty with a strike 22 minutes later to see off the hosts at Spytty Park.

There was more bad news for Newport as Damon Searle was stretchered off after 17 minutes, followed by his replacement, Matt Smith, in the 31st.

BRITISH GAS BUSINESS SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION

Merthyr Tydfil 0-2 King's Lynn: There were celebrations at Penydarren Park, but not for the home side on their final day of the season. King's Lynn became champions after Matt Nolan sent them on their way in the 34th-minute.

UNIBOND LEAGUE DIVISION ONE

Colwyn Bay 4-2 Spalding Utd: Colwyn Bay saw off Spalding Utd in emphatic fashion with John Lawless, Anthony Wright, Adam Wade and Mark Quayle hitting home. Ben Garrick and Matt Murphy struck back for the visitors.
