Calderwood bemoans poor defending

Jimmy Calderwood Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood blamed uncharacteristic mistakes in defence for the 4-1 Scottish Cup third-round replay defeat by Hibernian.

"We have a very strong defence, so it was not like us," said Calderwood.

"Hibs started very strongly, but it was only for 10 minutes, after which we controlled the game.

"But two corners have done us and the second was a particularly stupid one to give away, although it was a great strike by Michael Stewart."

Calderwood thought that Stewart ought to have been more tightly marked, especially as the corner was to be last action of the first half.
