Alloa Athletic 1-2 Ayr Utd
Ayr United kept their promotion play-off hopes alive after recording a vital win over Alloa in Division Two.
Gareth Ward headed into the net from six yards after only two minutes to give Ayr a perfect start.
Ayr goalkeeper Mark McGeown pulled off a string of saves and a Kyle MacAulay header struck the bar before Ryan Stevenson headed the second goal.
But the home side reduced the gap with a low John Grant shot only to have Scott Agnew red-carded late on.
