Cole rejects Burnley contract
Burnley will not be signing Andy Cole after the veteran striker failed to agree terms with the Championship club.
The ex-England forward scored six goals in 13 appearances in a three-month loan spell with the Clarets from Sunderland.
He had expressed a desire to join Burnley on a permanent basis after his release by the Black Cats this month.
"We loved working with him but he had a decision to make and he's made it. The bottom line is the deal isn't suitable to him," said Clarets boss Owen Coyle.
