Holland to make Buxton decision
Crewe first-team coach Steve Holland will keep a close eye on trialist Jake Buxton as he weighs up a possible deal.
Centre-half Buxton, 23, left Mansfield Town following their relegation from League Two and arrived at the Alexandra Stadium on trial in early July.
Holland told BBC Radio Stoke: "Julien Baudet was consistent last year and we need a man to go alongside him.
"We'll see if Jake can fit the bill. The players we have are good enough but at the minute are inconsistent."
