Preston and Wolves chasing Jones
Derby County midfielder David Jones could be on his way to Wolverhampton Wanderers or Preston North End, BBC Radio Derby understands.
The Rams are thought to be prepared to sell the 23-year-old, but want to recoup the £1m they paid Manchester United for him in 2007.
Rams' manager Paul Jewell is re-shaping his squad after relegation, with up to 10 players likely to leave.
Jones scored seven goals in 47 games in two seasons for the Rams.
