Frail says Falkirk deserved win

Hearts caretaker manager Stephen Frail

Hearts caretaker manager Stevie Frail said Falkirk deserved their victory against the Tynecastle club in the SPL.

"They shaded the first half, but it took us to lose a second goal before we put them under pressure and thought to get back in the game," said Frail.

"I'm very disappointed, but I think Falkirk deserved the three points.

"It's disappointing to lose any game, but it's the manner in which we lost it. I told the players that the focus needs to be on winning games."

Falkirk took the lead shortly before the interval through Tam Scobbie and doubled their tally shortly after the break when Carl Finnigan headed home unmarked.

Hearts fought back 13 minutes from the end when Deividas Cesnauskis blasted in a tight-angled drive, but his strike failed to ignite a concerted revival.

After the match, Frail insisted that Hearts are capable of better football, but the players need to adopt a more driven approach to winning matches.

"At times, we're a bit wayward with some of our ambition and we have too many outside influences for the players, so we need to get them all pulling in the same way," said Frail.

"The focus should be football, first and foremost, but at times we lose that.

"Football first, and the rEsults for this football club - and anything else becomes secondary."
