Hereford United manager Graham Turner has confirmed central defender John McCombe will not be offered a new deal.
He told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "He'll get another club and I think one or two have already enquired about him.
"Things move on in football and as a manager you have to have that streak where sentiment is set aside."
Turner has confirmed that Wayne Brown, Richard Rose and Sam Gwynne have been offered new deals after helping the Bulls secure promotion to League One.
Injury victim Luke Webb will also be at Edgar Street next season so that the club can monitor his progress following hip surgery.
Turner said: "Luke Webb stays with us until he has recovered from his operation and then, when he's fully fit, we're obliged to continue with his contract until he is recovered.
"We will then have a look at him and see how he looks then."
"I'm just waiting for Bristol City to come back to me and firm up a date for them to come to Edgar Street"United will open their pre-season programme with a trip to old rivals Kidderminster Harriers on Monday, 14 July, while they have also arranged home matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion.
A planned game against Aston Villa is now unlikely to take place due to the Premier League club's involvement in the Intertoto Cup, but Turner has other plans.
He said: "I'm just waiting for Bristol City to come back to me and firm up a date for them to come to Edgar Street.
"I'm hoping that we can get a game in, but obviously they've been busy with other things at the moment and they have not really yet got into planning their pre-season."
