Sir Bobby Robson is to bring together his FA Cup winning squad for a 30th anniversary celebration in Ipswich town centre on 5 May.
Players who lifted the cup at Wembley in 1978 will take an open top bus tour before they step out onto the famous balcony of the Town Hall.
Match highlights and previously unseen archive film will be shown on a BBC big screen in Ipswich on the day.
Thousands are expected to pay tribute to the cup heroes at the free event.
Robson guided Ipswich to the famous 1-0 victory over Arsenal on 6 May 1978.

Photos and memories are being gathered to build up a picture of life in Suffolk during this significant era.
BBC Suffolk will release archive videos from BBC Look East covering Town's cup campaign in the lead up to the event.
On the day BBC Radio Suffolk will dedicate its airwaves to the sounds and stories of 1978.
The station plans to give a glimpse into how it would have sounded if had it been on air at the time.
The event is being organised by BBC Radio Suffolk, the Evening Star, Ipswich Borough Council and Ipswich Town Football Club.
Admission to the event - which will take place in the Cornhill in Ipswich - is free of charge.
The event will be broadcast live on-air and streamed live online.
