Ipswich legend to get Uefa medal
Former Ipswich defender Kevin Beattie will receive a Uefa Cup winners medal, 27 years after missing the final against AZ Alkmaar.
Beattie, 54, was a key part of the team that won the trophy in 1981 but missed the final due to injury.
Uefa recently agreed to award Beattie a medal which will be presented by president Michel Platini at Wednesday's Uefa Cup final in Manchester.
Beattie said: "I'm ecstatic, I'm so looking forward to it."
He will be at the City of Manchester Stadium to watch Rangers take on Zenit St Petersburg, with former Ipswich goalkeeper Neil Alexander in the Rangers squad.
