Magilton hopeful Garvan will stay
Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton is hopeful midfielder Owen Garvan will decide to sign a two-year contract extension and stay at Portman Road.
The highly-rated 20-year-old is in the senior Republic of Ireland squad for next month's friendlies.
"If he decides to sign we'll be happy to secure his signature," Magilton told BBC Radio Suffolk.
"We think the world of him here... but if an offer came in we couldn't refuse then we would have to consider it."
Magilton continued: "He will probably go home to his family and weigh up all his options.
"We think we've made him a very good offer, I think he just wants to take his time.
"I think he's still improving and he's still got a lot to learn."
