Foxes must take time - Aldridge

Chief executive Paul Aldridge believes Leicester City should take their time over any decisions on the future of the club and manager Ian Holloway.

The Foxes' relegation to League One has put a question mark over the future of Holloway at the Walkers Stadium.

But Aldridge told BBC Radio Leicester that it was vital for everyone at the club not to react hastily.

"We all need to take a step back. You don't make decisions quickly after something like this," said Aldridge

If Holloway is sacked City will be looking for fifth new manager since chairman Milan Mandaric took over the club in February 2007.

Towards the end of last season Mandaric sacked Rob Kelly and brought in Nigel Worthington, who steered the team to safety in the Championship but was not given the job permanently.

Mandaric appointed former Brentford and MK Dons boss Martin Allen last summer but his reign lasted just four games.

Gary Megson then took over in September before he left to join Bolton six weeks later.

Holloway was announced as City's manager in November but has won just nine of 32 games as the Foxes were relegated to League One for the first time in their history.

Aldridge thinks it is important that the club do not make a knee-jerk reaction to relegation after employing so many managers in a short period of time.

He said: "You need to just reflect, let people calm down, do whatever they do to get this out of their system and then we all come back and make good decisions.

"We must not make any more bad decisions."
